Indie Printing was asked to participate in the Downtown Film Festival. Being that we are in Downtown Los Angeles, it was a no-brainer for us to be involved.
Since 2003, Indie Printing has always been involved and supported the independent film industry, especially the community in our own Los Angeles backyard. Over the course of 3 days, we produced over 30 banners, step-and-repeat backdrops, window decals, credentials, flyers, posters, and foamboards for the festival, in addition to several promo pieces for filmmakers showcasing their films in this years film festival.
What makes the Downtown Film Festival Unique is the variety of not only films, but the music and art showcases that are very much alive in Downtown Los Angeles already. The festival adds to the already booming art galleries and music venues by bringing in people from out of town who normally probably would never have known what Downtown Los Angeles has become over the last 5 years.
The Downtown Film Festival also manages to put together the second annual Sustainable L.A. event which will be located this year at the 7th & Fig. complex in Downtown Los Angeles. Sustainable L.A. will feature several eco-conscious vendors including Indie Printing, promoting and showcasing their sustainable products, foods, and programs in addition to film screenings on the topic of the environment, and sustainability.
The Downtown Film Festival goes on from August 16th – 22nd and Sustainable LA is held on Thursday August 20th from 11am-7pm
